Fertilizer Comparator
A bag price tells you nothing until you divide it by the nutrient inside. Set your target rate, put in the prices you are quoted, and read the cost per kilogram of nitrogen, phosphate or potash, plus what each product brings with it.
The cheapest source of a nutrient is one decision. Where in the field it pays to put more of it, and where less, is the one that moves yield.
See where to apply more, and where lessBecause a bag price says nothing until you divide it by the nutrient inside it. Urea is 46 percent nitrogen and ammonium sulphate is 21 percent, so the cheaper tonne is often the more expensive nitrogen.
The tool rates each product against the nutrient you are actually buying, then reports the product needed per hectare, the cost per hectare, and the cost per unit of that nutrient, ranked cheapest first.
Several products supply more than one nutrient. Hitting 60 kg of phosphate with MAP also delivers about 13 kg of nitrogen per hectare, and ammonium sulphate brings substantial sulphur with its nitrogen.
Ignoring that credit overstates what you still have to buy. The tool shows it on every row where it is worth counting, so the comparison is against what each product actually leaves in the field.
They are the label analyses of the commodity products: urea 46-0-0, UAN 32-0-0, ammonium nitrate 34-0-0, ammonium sulphate 21-0-0-24S, MAP 11-52-0, DAP 18-46-0, triple superphosphate 0-46-0, muriate of potash 0-0-60 and sulphate of potash 0-0-50-18S.
Branded blends vary, so check the analysis printed on what you are quoted and adjust the price accordingly.
Because fertilizer prices move too fast and too locally for a stored figure to be worth trusting, and a stale number here would be worse than no number at all.
Your region sets the units and the currency symbol. The prices are yours to type in, from the quotes actually in front of you.
Not yet, deliberately. A blend answer depends on which nutrient you solve for first and on what the co-nutrients displace, and a confident-looking blend that quietly chose for you would be worse than none.
Compare one nutrient at a time here. For a full programme across a field, the GeoPard platform builds the plan against your zones rather than a single rate.
This page reads one file at a time. The full GeoPard platform combines multi-year yield, NDVI, soil, and topography into management zones, generates variable rate prescriptions, and pushes them to your machine.
Already harvested? See whether the variable rate paid off in the Automated Yield Report.
