Ta izbolj\u0161ava izpolnjuje klju\u010dno potrebo po natan\u010dnih ocenah slanosti tal, kar je pomemben problem, ki vpliva na kmetijsko produktivnost in zdravje tal po vsem svetu.<\/p>\n<p>Slanost tal, neke vrste degradacija tal, prizadene ve\u010d kot milijardo hektarjev po vsem svetu in \u0161koduje kmetijski produktivnosti ter zdravju okolja. Prej\u0161nja prizadevanja za kartiranje slanosti tal so se soo\u010dala z izzivi zaradi nizke podrobnosti razpolo\u017eljivih naborov podatkov in te\u017eav pri prikazovanju nenehnih sprememb v ravni slanosti tal.<\/p>\n<p>Raziskovalna skupina se je zavedala teh izzivov in si je zadala cilj ustvariti model, ki uporablja slike Sentinel-1\/2, podnebne podatke, podatke o terenu in napredne algoritme strojnega u\u010denja. Njihov cilj je bil oceniti vsebnost soli v tleh v petih podnebnih regijah.<\/p>\n<p>Rezultati so bili objavljeni v \u010dlanku, objavljenem 28. marca 2024 v reviji Journal of Remote Sensing. Ta napredek pomeni korak naprej v na\u0161i sposobnosti spremljanja in upravljanja zdravja tal na svetovni ravni.<\/p>\n<p>Profesor Zhou Shi, glavni raziskovalec, je izrazil: \u201cTa \u0161tudija predstavlja pomemben napredek v na\u0161i sposobnosti ocenjevanja in obravnavanja slanosti tal na svetovni ravni.
