Diese Bedrohungen beeintr\u00e4chtigen die Gesundheit, Widerstandsf\u00e4higkeit und Produktivit\u00e4t sowohl nat\u00fcrlicher W\u00e4lder als auch von Forstplantagen.<\/p>\n<p>Um diese Probleme wirksam zu bew\u00e4ltigen, sind Fr\u00fcherkennung und fr\u00fchzeitiges Eingreifen erforderlich, was in gro\u00dfen Gebieten eine Herausforderung darstellt. Forscher haben die Bedeutung dessen erkannt und neue Technologien auf Basis von Erdbeobachtungsdaten entwickelt, um die Walddegradation zu \u00fcberwachen und zu steuern.<\/p>\n<p>Eine aktuelle Studie stellt einen maschinellen Lernansatz zur Identifizierung gesch\u00e4digter W\u00e4lder vor. Dieser Ansatz nutzt frei verf\u00fcgbare Fernerkundungsbilder des Sentinel-2-Satelliten, erg\u00e4nzt durch Daten von Google Earth. Er konzentriert sich insbesondere auf boreale W\u00e4lder, die vom Borkenk\u00e4fer Polygraphus proximus Blandford befallen sind.<\/p>\n<p>Die Studie nutzte eine Kombination aus Fernerkundungsbildern und Algorithmen des maschinellen Lernens, um Waldsch\u00e4den zu erkennen und zu bewerten. Diese Weiterentwicklung bietet eine schnelle und kosteng\u00fcnstige Methode zur Erkennung gesch\u00e4digter W\u00e4lder in der Region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Einzigartiger annotierter Datensatz:<\/strong> Dar\u00fcber hinaus erstellten die Forscher einen einzigartigen, annotierten Datensatz, um die vom Polygraphenk\u00e4fer gesch\u00e4digten Waldgebiete im Untersuchungsgebiet zu identifizieren.
